Netscape Used in StarGate SG1

Postby profman » Sun 05 Jan, 2003 4:45 pm

We got, for this Christmas, a DVD player and several DVDs to play. One set of DVDs was Season One of the TV series, StarGate SG1 (based on the movie , StarGate). A close-up in Episode #113, "Hathor", revealed that the staff of SG1 uses a version of Netscape to bring up research files. The URL, unfortunately, pointed to a local file on the C drive.

I think that this shows the good taste exhibited by the directors on this excellent Sci-Fi series currently in its sixth season which is showing on the Sci-Fi Channel.

This episode was reportedly first shown on October 24, 1997. What version of Netscape would they be using?

You might find some clues in Netscape Version Guide

Could you provide a screengrab from the DVD, so we can all see which version of Netscape they were using . . . ?

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!
