It's good to see the latest iPod shuffle has gone back to using the circular click pad from the 2nd gen
version of the device. Having the controls inline on the earphone cord was a monumental mistake,
and I for one am glad they've gone back to a variation of the earlier design.

As for the latest iPod nano ... I'm not so keen on that. I was looking into getting a nano last month,
as with 8GB or 16GB of storage, built in video camera and MP4 video playback and FM radio tuner
alongside the primary function of a personal audio player, it was near perfect.

With the latest version, they appear to have taken one step forward by adding the tiny multi-touch
display, but several steps back by removing all video functionality. It's now a rather weird hybrid
of the iPod Touch and the Shuffle. What worse, regardless of it's now reduced functionality, it
costs more to buy than the old version, thanks to the frankly gratuitous tiny touch screen

In essence ... they've taken a once great product, and effectively ruined it, much like they did with
the previous version of the Shuffle ... but at least Apple eventually realised the mistake they made
with that, and have now put it right. I hope that long before next September, they come to
realise the similarly big mistake they've now made with the nano.

Also, it would appear that the video camera feature they've foolishly taken away from the nano,
has now been spruced up with support for recording HD720 videoclips (something the previous
version of the nano should've had anyway) and added it to the iPod Touch instead.

I hope I can get one of the previous nano's before all current stock runs out. I was hoping to get
one laser engraved from the online Apple Store, but unfortunately, that's no longer possible.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

Well, good to know that iPod touch now has the FaceTime feature. Making me wanting to buy one.

And I feel the current nano is just like the shuffle with a small screen.
