Apple today unveiled redesigned MacBook, MacBook Pro and updated MacBook Air. The new MacBook family dratically lowers the entry price for advanced notebook features including all-metal enclosures and pro-performance notebook graphics by $700 to make them far more affordable. The new MacBook and 15-inch MacBook Pro both have a precision unibody enclosure crafted from a single block of aluminum, resulting in thinner, more durable and incredibly beautiful designs. In addition, every member of the new MacBook family includes state of the art NVIDIA graphics, brilliant instant-on LED-backlit displays and new large glass Multi-Touchâ„¢ trackpads that offer almost 40 percent more tracking area and support more Multi-Touch gestures.

The main features of the new MacBook family include: new powerful integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphic card (and for MacBook Pro, an additional NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics processor with dual-link DVI support, up to 512MB of GDDR3 memory that can be easily switched to), energy efficient instant-on LED-backlit displays, new large glass Multi-Touch trackpads that offer almost 40 percent more tracking area and support more Multi-Touch gestures.

The new MacBook line features the powerful new NVIDIA GeForce 9400M. The MacBook and MacBook Air will deliver up to five times the power over the previous models.

For MacBook users would also receive features that never available on MacBook before, including all metal enclosure, high performance 3D graphics, LED-backlit displays.

The entire new MacBook family meets stringent Energy Star 4.0, EPEAT Gold and RoHS environmental standards, and leads the industry in the elimination of toxic chemicals by containing no brominated flame retardants, using only PVC-free internal cables and components, and using energy efficient LED-backlit displays that are mercury-free and made with arsenic-free glass.

The new MacBook, 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pro are now shipping now. T new MacBook Air will be available in early November.

Posting from the new MacBook Pro (2.4GHz model) in Apple Store, Sydney.

The case feels very smooth, and the new glass Multi-Touch trackpad is actually quite easy to use.

Not much lighter than previous model (from my feeling).
