I recently installed norton internet security 2003 on my windows xp SP2 computer. I have a comcast cable internet connection connect through the NIC(Network Interface Card). After I disable NIS I can access the internet. Does anyone know why and a solution other than disabling it.

I have answered my own question. You must select any program that is allowed to access the internet in the configuration of norton personal firewall.
