NS 7.1 Failure (full & streamline)

Postby iral2n » Mon 19 Jul, 2004 1:00 am

Have XP pro. Tried several times to load NS 7.1. Get only Netscape logo in middle of desktop. Task manager shows NS running, but the browser does not show on screen. Suggestions? Thanks. ICN

With no other information available, I suggest that you take a look at this issues: http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/ns71startupnot.html

More Advice

Consider re-installing Netscape 7.1 if you haven't done so yet. This fixes many problems without losing personal information or settings.

If that doesn't work, uninstall Netscape 7.1, navigate to the folder:
C:\program files\common files\mozilla.org\GRE\
Delete the folder called "1.4f_2003062408"
Re-Install Netscape 7.1 and report back here for more help if needed.

What helped, by the way? I know that the GRE folder can be a bear.
