OK - another issue(s).....

Postby Dickerson » Fri 03 Jan, 2003 12:19 am

I have downloaded the 7.01 Stand Alone, and it is working fine, with the following exceptions:

1. Whenever I start the program, I get the "Connected to Netscape" registration (?) pop-up, and the progress bar moves left to right for a minute or so. Then it disappears, and the program DOES NOT start. I have to start the program again, then it starts OK. What is with the pop-up, and how do I get rid of it?

2. This DID NOT happen with my 7.0 Stand Alone that I just uninstalled tonight - whenever I close 7.01, the netscp program stays in the Task Manager, and acts like a Quick Launch program. I have that function disabled (checked several times). I do not really have an issue with this, except that if I used JAVA for anything (NWS Radar sites, etc), the JAVA console stays open in my Task Bar. This uses up memory that I need elsewhere. I can do the CNTR-ALT-DELETE thing to get into the Task Manager, and manually close the NETSCP program, but it takes several attempts, and I always get the "Program not responding" pop-up. When I click on "close program" then the program closes.

Any ideas regarding all this ..

Thanks in advance

Michael

Greetings,

It is possible that you have some corruption with Netscape 7.01.

I recommend you...
1. reboot your computer
2. Reinstall Netscape 7.01

Let us know what happens.
