Online betting puzzle

Postby heffer69 » Sat 12 Feb, 2005 12:16 pm

Anyone come across a situation when playing a betting game online when a bet is placed it has a decimal value after the round figure £2.1234567) This is causing me some problems as it's fine in a demo of the game but when I go to the live site it will not accept my bet stating invalid imput.

The machine is one of three I use and is an old slot A Athlon, the others are fine but would like to get to the bottom of it just because I do!

The flash player is version 6.0.79.0 and yes I know I could upgrade it but wandering if anyone else has come across this??????

Any comments would be helpful

Someone had posted on this issue before here. They happened to be using a Socket A processor as well, I remember him saying something about a numerical bug. Maybe the two of you are sharing the same problem? I'll find the thread and post back when I find it.

EDIT -- Found it, try [sdt=8141]NETSCAPE 7.1, FLASH GAMES AND NUMBERS[/sdt]. There's no real solution there, yet, so we still don't know for sure what the deal is that happened. Maybe the two of you are attempting to play the same game, with the same bug in it?

Thanks for your post, but the post was one of my own when I thought it was tied specifically to Netscape 7.1 and the flash player. Did have one or two reponces but still have not solved it. Someone has mentioned "roundup" which is a naturally occuring thing in computers I am told but don't get the connection?
