Opera 7.54 and Flash Player

Why won't macromedia flash player work with Opera. when using netscape i encountered this problem which said i needed to get the flash player to play a certain game. I followed all the steps listed and still could not get it to work. i could not play any movie trailers or videos on Netscape either. is this an AOL issue or just a netscape issue. when i switch over to my mozilla browser the flash plays fine.

If you're trying to use Netscape's XPI installer in Opera, that won't work at all. You can either go download the Flash Player Redistributable for NS-compatibles, or, if you have an NS4 (not NS6/7 or Moz), copy the plugin DLL and Java class from your Plugins folder to your Opera plugins folder.

I switched the browser indentification from "Opera" to MSIE 6.0" and now the netscape pages do not say that i need a upgrade of my Flash player. and the games work fine.The Netscape videos ( on their home page still do not play)
