Postby NAMOR » Wed 03 Nov, 2004 7:58 pm

From the Opera forums (Beta Section)

Opera 7.60 Preview 2 for Windows available

Opera 7.60 Preview 2 for Windows is available for download. As usual, discuss the new version in opera.beta and in the my.opera.com Beta Testing forum. Please do not distribute the download link directly, but link to the post in opera.beta or in the my.opera.com Beta Testing forum.

Due to the experimental nature of this release, upgrading a previous Opera installation is not recommended. If you'd like to test your mail from a previous release with this preview, delete the \Opera\Mail\ folder, then copy your entire Mail folder from your old install to your 7.60 Preview 2 installation.

Download Preview 2:

Interesting. I thought I had it but apparently I'm not quite there yet. I'll have to check the change log to see if it's worth my while. Thanks for the heads-up. :)

I don't know if it's just me, but this beta seems faster than the current 7.54 final version..

I tried 7.60 P1 for Linux :tux: and noticed one of the toolbar icon texts (I believe it was "Panels") was not in the same row as the rest of the icon texts. I had to remove Panels from the toolbar and then place it back in order to correct it. This was on an upgrade from 7.54.

I haven't tried P2 or the Windows preview, I'm waiting for Final to be released.

The offensive post has been removed. I'm locking this topic since a new beta release of Opera 7.6 has been released.
