OS Upgrades on Powerbook Series II

Postby cvithlani » Thu 14 Oct, 2004 3:19 pm

I have an old Series II (266) Powerbook G3, I've heard that it can support OS X.2 Jaguar, but I cant get it to recognize my cds, I'm still waiting on new cds to try out. But in the mean time, I'm running OS 9.1, I want to put ANY linux distro on it, i've heard YellowDog 2.3 is a good distro for my older hardware. I have no idea how to install or even use a mac, can someone walk me through the installation? Or maybe refer me to another linux distro that doesnt require mac os to be installed? Thanks!

That's only if you really decided to move to Linux world.
