Unfortunately I need to migrate my corporate PC from Linux to WinXP.
I used NS Communicator 4.7 for email access and due to the enormous amount of email I have received and sent in the last 5 years it's no option to forward them mails to myself and read them on the new PC. I'd like to use 7.01 or 7.02, Outlook (Express) - never in my life!
I have browsed 100s of Goooooogle pages to no avail.
Could someone explain to me how to do this?
Thanks in advance,
As far as I know, the mail files are fully interchangeable. So the Inbox file will be the same in Linux, PC or Macs. I would set up the mail in XP, and then put just your Inbox, which must be something else, on CD or whatever can hold it. The same applies to the Sent file. The files will probably be Read only, and you will have to uncheck the box.
I hope that you were not keeping all the mail in a single file, but you don't have to be concerned about it now. Just Copy the files, so that you can go back and do something else, if it fails.
