poem, reasons for immortality...

Postby Devilgrrl87 » Fri 07 May, 2004 6:33 pm

I cease to live in mortal ways,
I relish days gone by.
So many things I did give up,
sometimes I wonder why.
But then the beauty of the night,
surrounds me and I see.
The things which all the mortals miss,
such as the beauty of a tree.
Upon each leaf the many veins,
which run from side to side.
The way in winter life remains,
when other things have died.
Or take the beauty of the hunt,
when I glory in the chase.
Their heart felt beating one with mine,
as they stare death in the face.
Or traveling far distances,
in the mere blink of an eye.
Anywhere my heart may wish,
I only have to try.
I'll far outlive all my past loves,
and all my many friends.
I'll grow old mixed in this world, untill it meets the end.

It's to my view talking about how life goes by and changes in front of you and yet you still know that you are living through it.

Hope that helps.

Yeah. Not trying to be rude, but what have you got against such awsome poetry? i don't see a problem in it. but comments like previously seen, i don't think are all that necessary,
not tryin to be mean, thats just the way i see it
