Presenting "The Editorial" - DJGM's personal blog.

Postby DJGM » Tue 13 Sep, 2005 9:44 pm

Over the last couple of weeks or so, I've been maintaining a blog at MSN Spaces, but due to some
unnecessary and pointless technical restrictions put in place by Microsoft, I've decided to use
the DJGM.co.uk Message Board here at SD701 as a new place for my blogs.

What I intend to do with this, is to post a new "editorial", whenever there's something I want
to say and think it's worth publishing for the entire virtual world and it's dog (or cat) to see!

I know not everyone here has an MSN .NET Passport thingy to be able to access MSN Spaces,
so sometime tomorrow, with a few minor edits, I'm going to re-publish here on this forum,
what I've already published over there on my MSN Spaces site.

Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

Cool.

But if you want to set up a software for your blog such as using MovableType, I would be happy to help you.

Other solutaions: Google's Blogger.

I don't want to go into blogging software war, but I don't recommend WordPress for a number of reasons.

I thought about using MovableType, but when I found that it isn't free, I stopped thinking about it!

I might take a look at Blogger though.

In the meantime, I'll publish a few blogs here, while I think about setting up a dedicated blogsite.

It is free. Unless you want to have more than one author and need technical support. Otherwise, it's completely free. I would have to say such common misunderstanding was resulted from free-source die hard supporter's propaganda.

BTW, do you want people to post comment about your blog (content)?

Of course. That's one of the reasons I chose to publish blog articles on this message board.

Otherwise, I'd be locking my blog threads as soon as I'd posted them!

How do we get to msn.net?

I thought I read that you would be moving your blogs here? It's going to be old stuff you are blogging about, by the time you move it. :)
You better get moving.......<g>

I am unable to access with my msn hotmail passport.
I use it to access The Gaming Zone
It says space unavailable. [there is also an error]
But somehow I saw other sites. Seems like a
teenager's hangout. :) But I didn't see the blogs.

I've got some new photos taken in Manchester ... as soon as the FTP server on DJGM.co.uk is working
again, I'll post them. Since my digicam isn't working, the pics have been taken on my cameraphone.

Dear DJGM,

Are those photos ready?

Any new entries you want to share with us? It has been 9 months (that's 3 quarters of a year) since you last post.
