Question about .iso files

Postby swirven » Thu 24 Jul, 2003 6:18 am

I have a question about downloading .iso files on linux. I am familiar with them on windows about how you have to have a program to burn them, which I usually use Easy CD Creator. My question is if I download a .iso file on linux do I have to do anything before I can copy the files to a cd correctly. I am using Suse 8.2 and i have K3b installed. Will this program burn the cd correctly.

No you dont need to do anything special if u already have an iso file.

Just open K3b and go to Tools > Write ISO image, select the correct iso file / burning device and it should all work well.

Post a message if it doesnt, or if you have trouble setting up your cd writter.
