Question about moving to Firefox

Postby notnac » Wed 03 Jan, 2007 6:49 pm

I can start using FF as my browser and still use NS 7.2 for my email .
Correct?

But, I have different settings, bookmarks, etc. for my different id's in NS.
Can I have different settings, bookmark folders, etc in FF. In other words
have different shortcut icons to start different FF "ids" as I do know in NS.

I appologize if this question has been asked before (I didn't see it.) which might bother you fine people that support us dunderheads. But, if ith as been, then it will be easy to answer!

Thanks for any information.

Yes, you can still use Netscape 7's mail component if you choose to use Firefox for your web browser. Also, Firefox does have user profiles, like it's predecessor Netscape. Profiles in Firefox are like those in Netscape; simply add the [tt]-p[/tt] switch following the [tt]firefox.exe[/tt] shortcut.

Just one word of caution. Netscape7.x is a suite containing browser and mail, so if you click on a link in mail, it will open in NS7.x, even if Firefox is your default browser.
