Questions on Apple 22inch Monitor

Postby ericbmx » Sat 18 Dec, 2004 3:20 pm

I recently purchased a apple 22inch monitor to hook up to my 15inch Powerbook via the DVI Port. I installed it and i works great however when you go to the full screen size on the monitor the images are faded and it looses it clarity. If you reduce the monitor size to less pixels it maintains clarity but also leaves a 2inch margin all the way around the screen so its really about 18 or 20 inches is there something i need to do so it can be full size without loss of clarity?

Thanks

Which model is your PowerBook 15"?
And do you have latest Mac OS X (currently 10.3.7)? which solves some problem with the 22inch Apple Cinema Display.

And which mode did you try to use? Mirror the video or extend the desktop?

Also, which model is your 22" Cinema Display?
The ADC model or DVI model?

Apple Cinema Display (22") introduced in August 1999, 1600x1024 LCD display and an integrated two-port USB hub.

Apple Cinema Display (ADC) (22"), released in July 2000, 1600x1024 LCD display and an integrated two-port USB hub. It uses ADC (Apple Display Connector), and it supports an additional resolution (800x512).
