This thread is very popular on a couple of other forums I participate at. Basically it's just a thread to post random thoughts and subjects that don't merit and entire thread.

I'll start us off:
-Philly is losing badly to Dallas. Not making me happy.
-Did some shopping today, awesome deals still going on.
-Might be getting Windows seven soon, who knows.

Good idea, John. :)

Enjoying my Kindle 2. Currently reading a book about the last two weeks of the Romanovs and another titled Dmitri's Cross.

My wife and I are redoing our bedroom (have a painter coming in Monday and a flooring company coming in Thursday followed by all new furniture). After the bedroom we're doing the upstairs bathroom (having the tub torn out and putting in a walk-in shower with body spray).

Forgot to add that I'm really enjoying this new theme extension from Foxdie. I'm using the FullDark skin with the Aero buttons BUT I'd like to get both the backward and forward buttons the same size instead of having the backward button so much larger. Anyway... this is an awesome theme in case others are looking for something new.

I was thinking about saving up for a Kindle. Just not sure. I work in a Library, and I really enjoy the feel of a book.

James, how much are they? Is there like a monthly service fee?

-My insomnia is reoccurring again. I've read through three books, and I still cannot fall asleep.
(Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson, The Lord of the Flies by William Golding and 48 Shades of Brown by Nick Earls for those of you interested).
-I really need to get a laptop cooler. This thing is insane!
-My grandpa's new dog has taken quite the liking to me, he's a 1 and a half year old lab and he's awesome!
-You would think being the insomniac that I am I would post on my blog. Hmm, Antony thanks for the web space. I promise I will actually use it.
-My Gmail account has been down for the past hour, very annoying.
-2010 is shaping up to be a rough year for myself, but hopefully it won't be to bad.
-Studying for Regents exams as well. Since my new school is semester scheduled, I have them in January.
-That was a lot, and now that I think about it that could have been made into a blog post. But I'm lazy.

Cool points to those of you who read it all. ;-)

- On average, I've been spending about $50 per day on petrol everyday for the last 11 days. Actually, that's since 2010.
- You have to remember the PIN for your credit card nowadays. Some retailers won't accept (just) signatures.

John, they run about $259 and no, there is no monthly fee. There is no connection fee either; it's all paid by Amazon. Furthermore, there is a built-in browser and you can actually access the internet and check your e-mail with the Kindle. There are tens of thousands of free books as well as relatively inexpensive e-books.

Antony, how on earth are you surviving paying out $50 a day? That's insane! I doubt we pay $50 a week here.

It costs me about that to go between Boston and Rochester (650km), one way, but I don't do that very often. Whatever's left over in the tank from the trip usually holds out between trips.

I forgot to mention that the petrol is in NZD, at today's exchange rate, NZD 1 buys USD 0.738, which means it's about 37 USD per day. I will calculate the mileage once I return the rental car.

- The street is still very bright at 10pm at night in Invercargill, in fact all street lights are still not on.

- When you arrive in a small town at around 9.30pm, most restaurants are closed and you are starving.... you will appreciate the 24 hours fast food restaurants like McDonald's.

Having our bedroom gutted and redone. The bathroom is next. The house looks torn apart. I hate these decorating projects! :x

My town doesn't even have a McDonalds.

-Just got home from school.
-No homework tonight, yip yip.
-Eating FruitLoops, my favorite cereal.
-Got my website up and running off of my home server, right now I'm working on moving everything over.
-Anyone know if AIM is down? I can't seem to log in.

Seems like that's the case; I'm unable to connect.

If you guys are using Pidgin to connect, I managed to fix the problem earlier by unchecking the "Use clientLogin" button in my account preferences.
