As I [sdt=11852]mentioned in August[/sdt], REALbasic 2006 Release 4 would support Universal Binary, although they slightly missed out the dateline (September), REALbasic 2006 Release 4 is now available and it builds Universal Binaries for Mac OS X.

REALbasic itself is now a Universal Binary, which yields much higher performance on Intel-based Macs. In most cases, REALbasic 2006 Release 4 compiles more than twice as fast than the previous release when running on Intel.

REALbasic 2006 Release 4 also includes:
  • Cross-platform toolbars
  • Large file support (removes 2GB limit)
  • Check for error
  • Currency datatype
  • Extended 64-bit integer support
  • Improved reliability
