recovery of saved mail after hard drive reset and reinstall

Due to a screw up by my tech guy I have had to do a full back to delivered restore of my Dell 8400. I was able to copy all of my files from the hard drive and have since reinstalled NS7.2 How do i recover the saved emails and address books from the backup copy?

Hello Brucep,

Welcome to SillyDog701.

To retrieving your email from backup copy, please consult this page, Retrieving lost emails and newsgroup settings

When you copy back your mails, please copy them back to the new salted folder name.

Once done, use a plain text editor to open prefs.js, and rename all the old salted folder name to the new one. (Using Search and Replace would be a good idea.)
