Remove MS06-015

Postby robpopper » Mon 11 Jan, 2010 6:53 pm

Hi, I 'm new here and am in need to remove MS06-015; in order to install and run an HP update to allow me to program 5 internet buttons on my HP PS2 keyboard. (There is a similar thread that relates to Quicktime & iTunes. This is clearly not an issue with me.) Any tought on the subject will be appreciated. Thanks for looking. Forgot to mention that MS06-015 does not appear in ADD/REMOVE...

I had no idea what
ms06-015
was. There info about it in a number of bulletins.
I gave one link, above, but a Search of MS06-15 gives me more.

The the reason for my prior post was that I thought that removing the Microsoft security update # MS06-015 would resolve my main issue, which is:

I am unable to program the 5 internet keys on my HP PS2 keyboard. Researching this problem let me to a link that states that the keyboard cannot be programmed if the computer has the Microsoft update, which I believe it has. Although it doesn't show in ADD/REMOVE...

Hope this post will clarify the issue.

In the Add/Remove window there should be an option somewhere for showing updates.

sI have auto update turned on and there are many installed, but none close to MS06-015. So I'm back to square one. Still unable to program internet keys on my HP PS2 keyboard. Any further thoughts?

Try downloading sharpkeys and see if that helps.

Sharpkeys will not work for me because I need to program non-standard keys. (The 5 internet buttons.) The HP PS2 keyboard has 104 keys plus 10 media buttons and 5 internet buttons. I haven't found a keyboard mapper to address this issue.
