Removing Grub 0.93 after deleting Linux Partitions with PM

Postby harishanand » Thu 17 Jun, 2004 8:05 am

I had Linux installed on my computer and as usual, it took up one full partition of about 10 GB and made it totally inaccessible to Windows. Feeling the need for more space and at the inability to connect to the Internet thru my ADSL modem, I now wanted Linux removed.

I ran Partition Magic Pro 7.0 to format the partitions into FAT32 and then merged the 3 resulting partitions into 1 partition (E:). PM 7.0 forced me to reboot. Upon reboot, my Grub loader pops up and doesnt load anything.

Pls help. I am stuck..

Get a Windows 98 bootdisk from www.bootdisk.net, then boot from it to DOS. (Boot without CD support), and type 'fdisk /mbr'. Then reboot and the Windows booloader will take over.
