Renamed boot drive, lost all mail from Netscape 4.75, help!

Postby JD » Sat 08 Nov, 2003 5:11 am

:( Please help me get it back.

I did a bad thing. I renamed my hard drive on the iMac as I was trying to set up an ethernet with a netgear switch and 3 macs.

1. Dual 500 running os 10.2.8, a G3 350 Running 10.2.8 I think, it just froze up, and a G3 233 iMac running 9.2 which I was going to retire after I finished bleedin it by ethernet.

2 I noticed that both my dula 500 and the imac hard drives had the same name, so I changed the name of the iMac boot drive. Oh, the wages of sin. The computer became confused and would not do much of anything without error messages, ie -120. I quickly changed the name back to the original and then it was ok EXCEPT FOR NETSCAPE.

I have lost all of my mail, mailboxes, preferences, everything which used to reside in netscape mail. The desktop alias would no longer find the original. I have looked and cannot find the Netscape. I have multiple versions of Netscape on the cpu for no good reason.

How do I get Netscape mail back to normal?
