As most of you might know, Antony does not talk about politics often.
In [sdp=80805]this post[/sdp], I expressed my opinion on this issue, mainly against the US involvement of Iraq war. As well as what Iraqi President Saddam Hussein did to his country had absolutely nothing to do with The United States of America.
This reminds me of a former member -
Mr. Ron Williams II who (according to him) must speak out and cause trouble to SillyDog701.
Well, back to Saddam Hussein.
The main primary charges against Hussein was the 1982 killing of 148 Shias in the town of Dujail. But what was wrong with killing those people? Those people in Dujail attempted to assassinate Saddam Hussein on 8th July 1982. Clearly, they failed.
Anyone attempts to assassinate his or her king or president is a
traitor. If he or she success, he or she becomes the new king/queen or leader, and would be a hero. If fails, and gets caught, death sentence (and usually gets tortured before) is very common according to history.
In short, those people in Dujail tried to kill Hussein, they
failed. Then, got killed by Hussein. It sounds fair to me. What I am saying... the Iraqi court (which we all know it's under strong US pressure) shouldn't have charged him on that case.
