Safari window fonts in Snow Leopard

Is there any way to change the size of fonts in the structure of the Safari window in Snow Leopard? It is very small on a high-resolution monitor. The only settings I could find in the preferences affect web pages, not the application window.

How about lowering down the resolution a bit?

I can do that, but I was really getting used to having room on the screen for a lot of windows!

I just got a new Mac Pro and a 27 inch Apple display screen to go with it. I figured that if I have a new, powerful computer, I need a new, powerful monitor as well. I also figured that the video drivers would be better matched if I got both machines from Apple.

I use 27-inch Apple Cinema Display as well, and I don't find the font that small to read. (I do find the text small to read on MacBook Airs.)

Perhpas you can put the Cinema Display a bit closer to you.

It is a bit better with the monitor a bit closer. It helps that the display is really sharp. I would still be more comfortable with the text a bit bigger, though. I have the same problem with the Finder sidebar and with Opera's toolbars, and one is supposed to be able to change the size of text in Opera's window, but it is not working for me.

It took me about a day to get used to the the font size in Cinema Display. Now I found the text size too big when I work on my MacBook Pro (15-inch, early 2008 model).

Have you tried temporary zooming?
Simply move the mouse cursor to the areas you wish to zoom in, then hold down the control key and scroll up on your mouse (or two finger scrolling up on your Apple Magic Trackpad). To return to original zoom, hold down the control key and scroll down.

Those settings are under System Preferences | Universal Access | Seeing (tab), and the Options... button under Zoom section.

Note: both displays will be zoomed at the same time (if you use multiple displays).

There is no trackpad - I am using a Mac Pro. Someone else told me about the zooming trick, and I am mostly using it when editing graphics. Good thing there is a scroll ring on my trackball.
