My original post did not include links to Mac and Linux installers. This has been corrected by the Admin. Please see first post in this thread for all relevant links for Netscape 7.2.

It looks like there's no hiding it for Netscape anymore. Although the Netscape home page still has links for Netscape 7.1, if you click on them, you'll be taken to the Netscape 7.2 download page:

Netscape 7.2 includes Netscape Toolbar, seems to me, it only available in Windows version. I have no idea about the Linux version (can somebody check it for me?)

Netscape Toolbar:

Mac version of Netscape 7.2 does not have it Sad

WOW, it's finally here!!!
But, sadly, I must now wait seven more hours to get it, unless I want to install it on an insanely old Win98 machine that can hardly handle NS6... Oh well...

In that case, I'll begin downloading all the XPIs I want to a disk here.

BTW nice layout for NS7.2.

The Linux version of Netscape 7.2 doesn't have the Netscape toolbar, nor does it have font smoothing!

Microsoft Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

I don't understand, why must you wait seven hours? And why not install NS7.2 on a Win98 machine? I have NS7.1 already installed on my Win95 laptop (P166MMX, 80MB RAM), and plan to upgrade it to NS7.2 soon. NS7.1 runs fine on it.

Hmm, anyone notice the ad for UFAQ on the browser homepage?

cuppetcj,
You may have some success running on that configuration, but I don't. I have a 120MHz processor with 64MB of RAM. So, I had one of three options: use a very old browser that takes a long time to load pages (NS4), use a somewhat old browser that renders quickly enough for me (NS6), or use something that is very slow and renders slow as well (NS7).
That's why I'm using NS6, save for now.

Take a look at the left panel on the bottom.

Well, with SD701 having some 600% more visitors than he does yearly, you can see why Jay is trying to get the word out. Since he's an NS Champ, he would probably have some right that entitles him to that ad.

Interesting that NS7 renders slowly for you. Although it is slow to initially load for me (QuickLaunch is disabled), once it is up it renders fairly fast. At least not slow enough to bother me. Perhaps the extra 46 Mhz in my processor and the extra 16MB of RAM make the difference?
