Re: Too bad, Mr Jay Garcia's skilful communication ability won't work on me. Simply I know the fact.

Yes, we also know the "facts". You're simply ignoring an offer by Jay for whatever reason. Or are you not smart enough to be manipulated by the word magician .. Smile

Re: Are you (or Mr Jay Garcia) denying the fact that
sillydog.info, sillydog.us and sillydog701.org had been pointed to ufaq.org?

No, we're not, neither is Jay, the facts have already been stated. He simply forgot to remove the redirect to the domains after a few days. I can understand that. And besides, they are no longer redirecting to the UFAQ but rather now seems to be a Free Support site now.

Re: I meant posting what he wants in those three domains he is holding. The same way he posted "Why Register SillyDog.info, SillyDog.us and SillyDog701.org" message.

So, you won't email him. Well, neither will I, you're on your own and looks to me like the offer is no longer valid.

And still the lingering question, why did you register the UFAQ.NET domain instead of givinig Jay the opportunity to register it? And don't answer with that old line of redirection out of "courtesy" routine, we want to know WHY your registered it, not why you redirected it.

Just taken from the "Free Support Links" site where the three domains redirect.

And I quote:

"The Domains SillyDog.info, SillyDog.us and SillyDog701.org are being re-directed to this site solely for the purpose of protecting Mr. Antony Shen from another person using these domains to redirect to casino sites, porn sites and/or other sites that may damage Mr. Shens's good reputation in the community."

Gee whiz Antony, what more do you want to resolve this issue for crying out loud. And not only that but Sillydog is the very FIRST link ... I'm convinced, anybody else?

I've also noted Jay's dsescription for SillyDog701 in addition to his posting it first in the listings:
Free Support for Netscape, Mozilla, Thunderbird, and Firefox wrote:
Antony Shen's SillyDog Web Site. Lots of information regarding Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox, Thunderbird and Opera are available here in forum style as well as general FAQ's. Mac and Linux information also available here. Complete archive of old Netscape versions can be found here as well, the BEST on the net.

Emphasis added by me. From the looks of things, Jay is not looking to steal visitors, since he has claimed that SillyDog701 is "the BEST on the net."

Still, I see no reason why not to just say something and let this crisis be averted.

Me? I have yet to ask Mr Jay Garcia to apologise. Nor had I set a deadline to Mr Garcia.

You have yet to comment on Mr Garcia's unreasonable demands of me to apologise to someone who cybersquatted SillyDog701, I am not interested in your "he has dropped" answer. And why is that so hard for you to answer it?

Mr Psychologist, you are so easy to be convinced.

If Mr Jay Garcia is to show his genuine offer (as you mentioned earlier), he has to remove the second paragraph in the footer. No substitutions for that paragraph.
Mr Garcia is also required to withdraw the second sentence describing "The Unofficial Netscape FAQ - Jay Garcia - Proprietor".
Also tell Mr Garcia that Mozilla is spelt as "Mozilla" with an "i" after "z".

I am sure with your close relationship with Mr Garcia, he will heard my message immediately.

I sent him an email but no reply as of yet. However, it appears that he has read your latest post and well .. actions speak louder than words. Also removed your link on the UFAQ as well. And I don't blame him a bit. Everything I have read from Jay Garcia, via email or anywhere else for that matter, I have YET to see him say anything nasty or condescending regarding Sillydog or Antony Shen. You, on the other hand have ... well nevermind, I won't say anything either. So long, good luck.

Mr Clinical Psychologist,

Jay Garcia does not have good temper, does he?

He made a linking page that seems like a Mr Nice Guy, but with an insulting paragraph at the bottom of the page.

Thank you Mr Jay Garcia for removing that insulting paragraph.

And Mr Clinical Psychologist, I was astounded that you were naive enough to be fooled by Jay's sanctimonious inclusion of SillyDog701 as the first link.

And in your previous post, I could not believe a Psychologist would even praise the inclusion of such an insulting paragraph.

(emphasis added by me.)
How can you possibly say there were "no condescending remarks regarding Sillydog or Antony" ?

There is no need to ask you for your medical qualifications, however, did you pass your English courses?

BTW, why are you being as impatient as Jay Garcia?

UFAQ.net is now providing users to UFAQ.org in a much better way.

UFAQ.net will now have a link to ufaq.org as well as redirecting to ufaq.org, however, there will be a slight delay in redirecting.

SillyDog701 is still showing a good gusture by providing link to ufaq.org as well as redirecting to ufaq.org FREE of Charge.

A similar paragraph praised by our Clinical Psychologist is also included.

Gee whiz Mr Garcia, what more do you want to resolve this issue for crying out loud. And not only that but UFAQ.org is the ONLY link ... I'm convinced, anybody else?

Meanwhile, http://www.sillydog701.org(this domain has been cybersquatted by UFAQ.org!) redirects to http://sillydog.org while the Sillydog text has been removed from http://sillydog.us(this domain has been cybersquatted by UFAQ.org!) and http://sillydog.info(this domain has been cybersquatted by UFAQ.org!)

Sillydog701.org now redirects to Antony's site and it's a straight redirect if that term is correct, no text. And what else is interesting is that the very same disclaimer message that Antony deemed insulting is now on ufaq.net. This I don't understand either.
That paragraph was originally written by Mr Jay Garcia, only with small (but necessary) adjustment. That paragraph was praised by DrDean.
I simply increased my good gesture, and returned the same favour to match Mr Garcia's words.

UFAQ.net has been redirecting (automatically) to UFAQ.org FREE of CHARGE, until this morning, the redirecting service has been increased it's level of service.

FACT: sillydog.info, sillydog.us and sillydog701.org (owned by Jay Garcia) had been redirected (pointed) to UFAQ.org for a period of time until my notice on 8th May 2005. This was cybersquatting.

FACT: ufaq.net (owned by Antony Shen) has always been pointing to UFAQ.org. It has never been used for any benefits for SillyDog701 (sillydog.org).

So what is DrDean complaining about?

Since,

Why are you so mad this time?

DrDean wrote:
Also, mention is made to "Cybersquatting", whatever that is. I guess the term relates to a person registering a domain with the name that somebody else already has? In that case, Antony is also "Cybersquatting" ufaq, Jay had it before Antony. See www.sillydog.net. Is the owner of that site "Cybersquatting" as well? Why hasn't Antony contacted that owner?
Trying to divert attention? Nice try.

Shame on UFAQ.org, he still has to use domains consisting exact spelling of "sillydog" to advertise and hence gain traffic from.

Antony, why did you register ufaq.net in the first place; and why didn't you tell Jay? Please answer the questions.

On 10th May, Mr Jay Garcia posted following in those cybersquatted domains. (my time.)
(I am sure many people have read it.)
Jay Garcia wrote:
5) I have reinstated a link to SillyDog in my FAQ LINKS as a show of good faith and no hard-feelings.

Then, on 14th May DrDean, as always having the first hand information, couldn't wait to tell me:
DrDean wrote:
But then again maybe you're "banned" again ..

Also, Jay said:
Jay Garcia wrote:
Another one from Antony:
"As for postings, where did he post to?"
Posted on the Mozdev Mozillachampions newsgroup on 8-MARCH-2005 soon after discovering UFAQ.NET.
That message has been deleted. Again, erasing evidence?

Typical Jay Garcia.
(words borrowed from ChrisI's post)

BTW, Jay Garcia and his fictional identities are not banned by me, but rather Jay Garcia's server refuses to accept activation emails for those accounts. (all bounced back.)
Please note SillyDog701 has single user account policy. The issue of multiple user registration is a breach of policy that is under review by SillyDog701 Admins.

Again, the facts which DrDean and ChrisI have both trying to move the attention away.:
  • ufaq.net (owned by Antony Shen) provided FREE redirection to UFAQ.org as a courtesy, now a link page with descriptions.
  • sillydog.info, sillydog.us, sillydog701.org (owned by Jay Garcia) all pointed UFAQ.org until the it was discovered by Antony. Arrow cybersquatting, and using SillyDog701's popularity to get traffic or any benefits.

  • SillyDog701 does not have any word censoring of "ufaq.org" or disallowing links to ufaq.org.
  • Jay Garcia only recently acknowledged the word censoring ("goofymutt" Arrow "sillydog"), he even blamed Google's cache in the past. SillyDog701 is still yet to receive any apologies for such insult.

  • Mr Garcia even demanded Antony to apologise to someone who cybersquatted SillyDog701.
Antony has yet to issue a similar demand.

SillyDog701's correct URL is sillydog.org.

You stated why you redirected UFAQ.net, but why you registered it in the first place, nor have you answered why you didn't tell Jay about it's existence.

If you expect anyone to take you seriously, they should be given all the facts. Otherwise, any opinions on the issue would be uneducated ones.

Same thing happened to me a couple of days ago. The "Edit" button disappeared from my posts for a period of maybe 12 hours, then reappeared just as mysteriously.
