My Windows XP desktop theme using beanboy89's Christmas theme.
It's Windows XP under Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac under Mac OS X 10.4.3 "Tiger", on a real Mac of course.
You can download Beanboy89's Christmas Theme from this link .

   | Interesting old ads.
What's the “color reversal film” shown in the blue package (Kodak Ektachrome)?

   | Beanboy89,
How do you get that "Microsoft AntiSpyware" in your desktop? Is that from Microsoft?

"Color Reversal" is just a technical term. It's also "Color Transparency" film, or, by the term we know best, "Color Slide" film.
Same thing for Kodachrome, even though the box says "Color Safety Film"

Here is my desktop, with a cool (well, at least I find cool ) desktop background I found at digitalblasphemy.com, called "Something Blue".

The desktop background doesn't look very good on this screenshot, because of the JPEG image compression, but if you actually look at the image at digitalblasphemy.com, it looks much better.

Here is a pic of the desktop on my 386DX-40, which I am giving away to my grandmother. It runs Windows for Workgroups 3.11 over MS-DOS 6.22 with the Calmira II shell. It essentially turns this old PC into something that is usable, with the aid of several tweaks, and looks somewhat "modern." Technically, I could have put the original Windows 95 on there, but then there wouldn't be much room for anything else, plus it would be too slow. In any event, it's a huge upgrade compared to her electronic typewriter.
