My falut. The "p" was a typo when putting the ending "[/code]" tag in. Fixed in original post.

Don,
can Donzilla apply any language packs?

In short... it can, but as a result it'll start calling itself "Seamonkey" again, and about: will break since it uses a DZ-specific entity not defined in other language packs.

I might be interested to see what happens if I write a "Mozilla to Donzilla Language Pack Converter". While it doesn't happen, you can tell me what language you want (provided there's a Seamonkey equivalent) and I can convert it for you.

A brand new profile works ok, as far as the browser is concerned, but I cannot seem to get any mail set up. The folders are in place, but no account shows up. Only Local folders are there. This is the most bizarre event ever.
But Sidebar and message pane are ok. I will have to see if some crazy setting is off, but what and why?

I bet I know exactly what that is. There's a feature new to Seamonkey that lets you put all your mail into one inbox in Local Folders. When you go to set up an account, you need to uncheck the box that says "Use Global Inbox". All seems to work if I uncheck that box.

The feature has been in Thunderbird, but I think that I got caught into something. But, there was nothing into Local folders. I found later that, since I keep mail on server for 11 days, or until mail is sent to trash, there was nothing there. I have no idea how this Global Inbox works, but it is insane to use it with 11 active accounts. The entire thing was very perplexing because I copied my old (and renamed) Inbox to the same account, and I could not see the renamed folder. Where is it?
Anyway, I removed the account, and that's when I noticed global Inbox prompt (it should never be default). And, the account showed up ok. But, Local folders must have, still been default, until I added another account, and selected default. So, your diagnosis was correct. So, Donzilla is working ok. It is running at over 56 MB memory usage.
Now, I will have to cut down the number of Search engines.

I know. HH2K has been down for about a day due to server problems.

Edit -- HH2K isn't back up yet, but downloads have been restored to the server and are now available.

Thanks.

That depends on the platform. Here are the lists of the profile locations for Donzilla:

    Windows 2000 and XP:

      Arrow <DRIVE>:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles

    Windows NT 4, 3.51:

      Arrow <DRIVE>:\WINNT\Profiles\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles

    Windows 95,98,ME:

      Arrow <DRIVE>:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles

    Linux:

      Arrow ~/.mozilla/profiles

    Antony's beloved Mac OS X:

      Arrow ~/Library/Mozilla/Profiles

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420+ Trunk/20060227 (KHTML, like Gecko) Shiira/1.2.2 Safari/125

It should be noted that on 2000 and higher you can access your Application Data folder from %APPDATA%, so technically it can be made easier by using %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Profiles\

So the profile may be shared with other Mozilla applications?

A Donzilla profile is essentially exactly as the same as a Mozilla profile, save for the defaults being different if the profile was created with Donzilla (which wouldn't cause any problems). For the most part, Donzilla and Mozilla/Netscape profiles are interoperable, though I recommend that users have a separate profile anyway.

For the most part, just name them differently.

By default, there will only be one profile in there.
