Cool! In a strange coincedence, I got a new TV tuner today as well. It's an ASUS My Cinema-U3000 Mini. I'll post some pictures later.

I've been meaning to post this for a while, but I've been delaying it... eh, whatever. My (not so new anymore) printer, which my mom gave me about a month ago, an HP Photosmart C4200 Series:

(Higher quality picture here)

(Sidenote: I didn't pay for this, so please, don't use it to call me rich.)

Henceforth, you shall be known as... Darth Extremist.

My new digital camera I bought last Friday.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9

Quick specs of Sony Cyber-shot DSC H9:
8.1 MP, 15x optical zoom (up to 30x combined), ISO range: 80 - 3200, shutter speed: 30 sec - 1/4000 sec and Aperture range: F2.7 - F8, 3.0" (7.5cm) LCD.

The camera has 31 MB internal memory. I bought a 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo at the same time.

One interesting feature: Full HD 1080 format photo, 1920 x 1080 (16:9 HDTV aspect ratio). I no longer need to crop photos to 16-by-9 ratio in Photoshop Elements. The world is moving to wide-format display.

Cost of the camera: AU$ 795. And no, I am not rich.

New mobile phone today!

Okay, so not really. AT&T's dropping their AMPS service, so I needed to buy a new phone that runs on a digital network. The Motorola v60i came in AMPS (right), GSM (left), and CDMA, so I picked the GSM version up off eBay.

To Antony: the phone cost $24, unlike Antony's expensive Ericsson K750i and T610.

I got a new toy today. Very Happy

It's a 40" Sony Bravia LCD TV. It's got all sorts of connectivity options: VGA, S-video, Component, Composite, HDMI etc. Watching DVDs and playing games on a TV this size with full 1080P resolution is simply stunning. Perhaps some of you have heard of Sony's recent promotion: Buy a 1080P LCD TV and get a free Playstation 3. I can't wait until the free PS3 arrives (they mail it out), I imagine playing Blu-Ray movies on a TV like this will just be awesome.

(FWIW, the table is only a temporary home for the TV - I need to get a new cabinet or stand for it. Smile )

I don't even have a flat-screen monitor to speak of, let alone an HDTV. My laptop LCD is only 15".

You, on the other hand, have a 24" LCD built into your iMac, and at one point had a flat-screen Apple Cinema Display. And by "yet", you seem to be implying that you have plans to get one, whereas I'm perfectly content with my old CRT monitors for the time being and have no plans to upgrade.

New addition for my camera.

Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo 4GB:

I now have 4GB + 2GB for my Sony DSC H9 camera. And yes, I did use up 2GB space during my Central West NSW trip.
