End of Year 2005 SillyDog701 Online Chat

Year 2005 is near its end, there were quite a number of things happened to SillyDog701 during this year. Again, SillyDog701 survived for another year since our last End of Year 2004 Online Chat, and I would like to say thank all of you.

Our End of Year 2005 SillyDog701 Online Chat will be during first or second weekend of December.

This is an official SillyDog701 End of Year Online Chat, and everybody is welcome.

Please vote for your preferred date:
first weekend (3rd/4th December)
second weekend (10th/11th December)

The third weekend (17th/18th December) is too close to Christmas, and the fourth weekend is Christmas weekend (24th/25th).

The time is likely to be 0:01am (GMT)

Venue:
irc: irc.dixiesys.net

We welcome everybody to join our online chat at scheduled time.

It is recommended that you use an IRC client to access to the chat room. ChatZilla, XChat, mIRC ... are all good IRC clients.

0:01 AM GMT again? Why can't we have one on 15:01 (3:01 PM) GMT for once?

I'm not too sure about either of those dates yet, since they're awhile off I'm going to hold my vote. I don't have anything planned yet, but events always like to present themselves just before I have something to do.

GMT 0:01 (EST 19:01) or Pu7o's time of GMT 15:01 (EST 11:01) both work out fine for me, though, if I am on a regular weekend schedule.

The time was only suggested. We've had 15:01 GMT before.

I agree. I'd certainly prefer a chat at 15:01 GMT, as opposed to at 0:01 GMT.

0:01 GMT. That's what I'd like.

The voting will end on 30th November. Currently we have more votes for the first weekend.

If my calculations are correct,
0:01 GMT,
it will be 11:01 AM Sydney time (GMT +11, with daylight saving) and 4:01 PM PST (GMT -8)

15:01 GMT,
it will be 2:01 AM Sydney Time, 11:01 PM in Perth (no daylight saving), and 7:01 AM PST.

Obviously I would prefer 0:01GMT, but perhaps we need another vote for the time.

I probably won't be able to attend unless it's at 15:01 PM (GMT). Since I'm on GMT. Also, I have a test in the 3rd of December, so if the chat is at 0:01 between the 2nd and the 3rd, I definitely won't be there. If it's between the 3rd and the 4th, or the other date, I might be able to stay for a little while, but not for very long.

How about we have 2 chat sessions? One starting at 00:00 GMT, the other starting at 15:00 GMT.
That way, those of us that are unable to attend one session, can attend the other one instead.

It would be the 15:01 GMT first (Saturday at GMT 0), then 0:01 GMT (1 minute pass midnight at GMT 0).

Is the vote closed?

If the chat is at 15:01GMT on December 3 I should be able to attend my first SillyChat.
