15 Feb, 2006 8:18 pm Opera Browser for Nintendo DS |

I happened to come across this just now...
| Opera website wrote: | Opera Software today announced that it will deliver the World Wide Web to Nintendo DS users in Japan.
In Opera's agreement with Nintendo, Nintendo DS users will now be able to surf the full Internet from their systems using the Opera browser. The Opera browser for Nintendo DS will be sold as a DS card. Users simply insert the card into the Wi- Fi enabled Nintendo DS, connect to a network, and begin browsing on two screens.
...
Nintendo Co., Ltd. held a presentation today in Tokyo, Japan, to announce updates for the Nintendo DS. Information on the availability of the Opera browser DS card has not yet been announced. |
The question remains: is this going to move out of Japan?

Thanks for the news.

We shouldn't have everything that's available in the States first.

So no matter where any DS software or game is released, it should run on any Nintendo DS system from any country. | That's good to know. You might need to give them some time to work out the deals (between distributors or whatever), and the translation of the DS card package.

Out of curiosity, why did this get posted to MozInfo701? It isn't even Mozilla news!

In my opinion, the focus of this website has become hopelessly muddled over the last two years.

Never stopped MozillaNews.org covering occasional stories about Internet Explorer though . . .

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks! |
