i have broadband, they promised me that they give 1 mbps speed, that s the highest in our country for a home user. But recently for a week, i dont get things done faster as i expect it was very slow, for that reason i deleted the old operating system and installed a new operating system , but still the problem is going on, kindly tell how to find the speed of my broadband, is there any tool available to download please help me out.

You should check out http://www.speedtest.net. They'll tell you your download and your upload speeds.
