17 Mar, 2006 11:54 pm The post pictures of your computer thread [sdp=71662]

Well we've had posting pictures of your desktop, posting unusual screenshots, and telling about your computers. Well, now its time to post pictures of your computers. Also, please tell a tiny bit about the computer(s) in the picture, but dont get into detail, sav that for "your computers". Make sure all images that are displayed directly on the page (not a link) are 550x550 or smaller.

Without further explanation, here is mine that wont be with me very long, which is getting replaced by a PC I'm currently building with the money I get from selling the mac...

My PC:

Yep, when I was using PC, running Windows few years back.

The Logitech iFeel MouseMan optical mouse was very expensive, I ordered it at Harvey Norman, and waited for more than 1 month for it.

And I'm rather surprised that Antony hasn't yet expressed his utter shock and dismay at the fact
that you've decided to getting rid of your Mac computer, and replace it with a custom built PC!

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

Here's my Pavilion laptop (booted to FC4 ATM). The tape is because I ripped the Windows logo off, to find a ton of glue underneath.

My incredibly disorganized "not-small-form-factor computer" corner, with my Compaq Deskpro 486 running NT 3.51 Workstation and a Gateway Performance tower running 2000 Advanced Server. The "Terminal Server" text was added as a joke by me when I had no monitor attached. There actually is text on the right monitor; you can see it if you look at the top-left: it's taking its usual minute or two to check 16,384k of RAM before continuing.

...and a closer look at the 486:

A closer look at the Gateway tower, which is still just as dirty as I found it, even though I scrubbed it down with alcohol once.

My mum's AST Ascentia M-series laptop, running NT4 Server. I didn't have Workstation to install on it when I set it up.

My dad's Dell Inspiron laptop, running 2000 Advanced Server, as I don't have 2000 Pro.

My dad's NAS, now retired, as 20GB doesn't make much of a NAS anymore. Runs Mandrake 8.something. This is old, most of the cables have been taken by me for other use.

(yes, that's an original IBM PS/2 keyboard)

My Gateway Solo laptop, running NT4 Server, converted for use as HardwareHacks 2000's server, is now stuffed under the couch in the living room, next to our router.

Whether or not you consider these computers, a PS2 with the cover off (I'm going to create a CD-player mod this summer, so I'm practicing Laughing ), a Gamecube, and a Pelican S-Video switch.

If we are indeed considering game consoles as computers, I have three:

An original XBox (which really is a PC).

A PSOne.

And my Nintendo DS.

I didn't feel like digging out my GameBoy Advance to take a picture of it. Laughing

Heres the "New and improved setup" now with the Athlon 3000.

AMD Athlon 3000, 512MB, 150GB, 17" CRT

As you can see, the second drive bay cover is broken.

The ipod...

The DS...

The Ps2!!!

My Grumpy and my Mac (in 2003 if I remember correctly), it was only Power Mac G4-400.

My Grumpy was designing the SillyDog701. (Old SillyDog701 template)

My PowerBook:

Unfortunately my iMac has the iSight attached to it, so the iMac can't photograph itself Rolling Eyes

And I don't have a digital camera (unless you count the one where I lost the cable to connect it to a PC/Mac...)

(Image size corrected, 3/30/06)

Maybe you can put a large mirror infront of the iMac's camera to get a photo of the iMac.
