Then sync with [tt]time.asia.apple.com[/tt], it's probably an NTP server and thus compatible with the Windows time sync utility too.

I've just installed Vista RC1 onto my AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ with 1 GB RAM. So far, I'm very impressed with Vista. Installation was very quick, and Windows seemed to detect most of my hardware, including my wireless card, which Windows Server 2003 x64 failed at.

Here's my preformance rating:

Screenshot, since I can't figure out how to resize the image without 3rd party tools

I was also impressed that I am able to run Areo Glass. :)

Edit resized for Beanboy89, Antony.

Is that the x86 or x64 version of Vista you're running?

Windows Vista did seem to detect most of my hardware and install drivers for them: the only two things that went uncategorized were a Broadcom BG4311AG wireless card and the TI flash reader. The rest it detected, including the LAN card, video drivers (though video performance increased when I installed the real ones from ATI's website), capture card, and even old hardware like the LaserJet 1100 and a seven-year-old Saitek flight stick.

I'm using the x86 version. At first, Vista didn't seem to recognize my sound card, and I'm not too sure what I did, but I do have sound now, but occasionally, I'll get this message...

From top to bottom, Beanboy89 with 3.5, you with the highest score of all of us so far, Pu7o with a 2.0, and then mine.

Unsurprisingly, my puny 800Mhz Celeron based PC is given only a 1.0 score in Windows Vista!

I assume it's not possible for my system to get this charcoal coloured theme in Vista then . . .

Get a Radeon X300 and hope for a miracle with the processor.

?? I only changed the colour to grey, as I found the grey one making it a bit easier to read. Also the colour matches Antony's skin colour.

Pu7o has recently acquired 1GB RAM, making a massive 1.5GB of RAM. His score should be a lot higher now.

That's memory bandwidth, not how much he has. (Also, 1.5GB is not a massive amount of memory, Mr. 2GB of dual-channeled DDR2-667.)

If I remember correctly, he now has two memory sticks for "dual channel" thing.

I can't afford the additional 1GB of RAM.
