As for the What's New in Firefox 2.0 RC 1, I can't see anything new since Firefox 2.0 Beta 1 except it has been rephrased.

That being the case, is there any value in uninstalling the beta and installing this release candidate? Thanks.

No. Just wait for the final version.

Unless you are one of those who can't wait for the latest of whatsoever.

I downloaded the Fx 2.0 RC 1 just for the screenshots, and now back to Firefox 1.5.0.7.

I am a hoarder, as you ,well, know. But, I would never install a non-final version. I am, still, working out of the nightlies, which may not be fully representative of the installed version, but are, so easily, disposable.

The portable version is also out at
http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/test
I prefer this, as it allows full testing without touching my 1.5.0.7 profile.

So far, it seems stable.

After adding Forecast Fox, I am getting a few crashes on ebay, which I acknowledge probably has the worst coding on the web other then Hotmail. Not sure if the crashes are related to Forecast Fox or to an issue with RC2 & ebay. On the other hand, I have noticed that a couple small bugs with the beta are gone.

BTW, for those like me using the portable app version, they've disabled the browser cache to extend USB key life (which is really what the app is designed for, I just like it because it leaves my main FF profile totally alone). To enable the cache, o into about:config & change cache size from 0 to 50000.

Since Firefox 2.0RC2 is out, shouldn't this be unpinned?
