New Proof of Concept virus for Macintosh OS X systems is released recently.
Malware description from anti-virus vendor Symantec is available here .
There is news coverage via Heise Security (sorry, in Deutsch) and SecuriTeam Blogs .
What the Symantec says is:
| Quote: |
It infects other files when they are executed in the current directory, regardless of file name or extension. |
The virus has an official name OSX.Macarena.

Thanks for reporting.
I would point out that people should be careful with the words like "proof of concept", those words are more of less marketing words in my opinion.
Back in 2004 , a relatively unknown company called Intego issued a warning that they *discovered* the first "concept" Trojan on Mac OS X. Few weeks afterwards, most Mac users agree that it that company's tactic for its publicity.
