04 Jan, 2007 11:30 pm My.Netscape is undergoing changes! [sdp=81062]

Here's the announcement from their page:

We are currently working to launch an updated My.Netscape complete with all the functionality you've enjoyed in the past built upon an entirely new technical foundation. This will come with additional functionality and a much overdue face-lift. Unfortunately, such an endeavor requires us to take the current My.Netscape off line for the time being. We're sorry for this inconvenience.

So, it "seems" that this "is" leading somewhere (although for the life of me, I can't figure out where Wink ). What has AOL up its sleeve do you think?

Let's hope this will be a good change. I won't mind if they bring back the old My Netscape.

Hey, thanks for the thread, Antony! I'm really looking forward to the proposed changes myself. Smile

If they wanted to, they could have left the (then) current My Netscape portal available for everyone to use and build the new My Netscape on servers that were not publicly accessible. Then, they could have simply made the switch when the time came.

Instead, they chose to inconvenience their users.
