I got rid of NS8, so I cannot guide you exactly. You should be able to find a setting in Privacy, which must be set to Clear Tracks on Exit. You should be able to uncheck that box, and set the Page History button to the length of time which you want (it was set, by default, to nine days in NS7.x). I have mine set to one day.
As for NS8.x, the dual engine was the selling point, but no more. You can get the same results in Firefox by means of the IE Tabb extention
, without all the defects of NS8.x.
