Apple has released the latest update, 10.4.10, for Intel and PPC versions of Mac OS X Tiger.

The 10.4.10 Update is recommended for PowerPC and Intel-based Mac computers currently running Mac OS X Tiger. This update includes general operating system fixes, as well as specific fixes or compatibility updates for the following applications and technologies:

- RAW camera support
- Mounting and unmounting external USB devices
- Support for 3rd party software applications
- Security updates

i always wondered...why are PPC updates always much smaller than their Intel versions?

The Intel updates have to include both Intel updates and PowerPC updates to maintain compatibility with existing PowerPC apps. Since there's no reverse-Rosetta, the PowerPC updates don't include the Intel updates.

Apple has issued an Audio update for Mac OS X 10.4.10 Intel-based Mac users.
