I got the update notice, on one computer it went fine, just 10-15 seconds; but on the other the updater had some problem and took much longer. This is the first time I have experienced anything like that.

In the end, both machines were successfully updated.

My auto-update was completely clueless. Nothing there, yet. However, I got the complete download at the website. 2.0.05 installed on top of 2.0.0.4.
All addons were compatible, except for the mystery Java Console 6.0, which is not an addon, as far as I know, and I dob't have displayed, anyhow.

Fulvio, I had the Java problem, but it was that Java had not notified me of an update, so not really a FF problem.

I updated Java and went to about:config in FF, and everything was correct.

I was informed by Firefox that an update had been done before I even knew the new version was out. I received the same Java incompatibility message.

you were correct, there was an update Java. I have it set to check once each month, at a time when the computer is on. It was set for July 13, at 10 AM. I, either, missed it (I am not in front of the computer all the time), or it was a recent update, or I did not get informed.
Now, I have everything including the kitchen sink, with Java Update 2, Java SE Runtime 6, and Java SE Runtime Update 1. Obviously, I don't need everything. And, my about:plugins is even worse, having the Update 2 stuff, and .dlls as far back as 1.4.x.
I am grateful to Firefox, I guess, but why do they call Java Console 6 an addon?
Now what do I need to keep?

as you well know, the USA is the only country which still stick to the Fahrenheit system, temperature-wise. Also, humidity is very important, in declaring a temperature hot/unbearable. 45 C=113 F. Not bad if not so humid. Yesterday we hit 100 F=about 38 C.
It was not so bad, because the humidity was tolerable. Right now, at noon, we have 82 F=28 C, but the humidity is 63%. I lived on or near the East Coast of the US, and 33-34 C with nearly100% humidity were enough to drain anyone.

Right now, we have 81 deg F but with 70% humidity.

Here we use weather.com, and we put in our mail zip code (mine is 08904). We can get hourly, 10 day, etc, complete with interactive radar (uses flash) so one can see where the rain is.

Never been to Australia, although I almost did when our family fled Communist Yugoslavia. We managed to come to the USA.
