Besides Boot Camp and Parallels Desktop, there's another way to run Windows on y your Intel-based Macs.
Late December last year, VMware Fusion went public beta . The shipping version is out now. VMware has released Fusion 1.0 to general public. VMware Fusion is a virtualisation software, similar to Parallels Desktop for Mac, allowing Intel-based Mac users to run Windows, Linux or other PC operating systems.
According VMware website , some features includes support on Boot Camp partition, DirectX 8.1, multi-core support, 64-bit operating systems supports (on Core 2 Duo or Xeon processors), and VMware Converter (free) to transfer Windows PC into a VMware Fusion-compatible virtual machine.
minimum system requirement:
- An Intel-based Mac (to run 64-bit operating systems, an Intel Mac with a Core 2 Duo or Xeon processor is required)
- 512MB of RAM (1 GB or more recommended)1
- 275MB free disk space for VMware Fusion
- 1GB free disk space for each virtual machine (10 GB or more recommended)
- Mac OS X version 10.4.9 or later
The final version is available for US$59.99 (after a $20 mail in rebate). A 30-day trial is also available.

Meanwhile, Parallels released Parallels Desktop 3 in early June and has announced a beta for future release is also available.

I think I shall give Fusion a try, since I am still using Parallels Desktop 2.5. (upgrading to 3.0 is not free.)
