From the MozillaZine news entry :
| Quote: | The Mozilla Corporation today released Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.11, the second minor update to the browser delivered this week. This upgrade has been rushed out to fix a regression introduced in Firefox 2.0.0.10, which broke the drawImage method of the canvas element (bug 405584). |
This is the reason they shipped a new version with a little delay after FF2.0.0.10.
There are no any security fixes included.

I had not seen any problem with 2.0.0.10, but the incremental update was smooth.
As usual the VerifyURL add-on is not compatible, but with Mr Tech Local Install, everything is back to normal.

Thanks for the heads-up.
Based on MozInfo701 's record, Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.10 was released on 26th November, this makes the useful-lifetime* only 4 days.
Further on, Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.9 was released on 1st November, which means there are three Firefox updates in November.
I just have a feeling that people will start to get sick of all those updates...

Cnet News.com's Firefox churns to version 2.0.0.11 says:
Version 2.0.0.10 broke a feature that lets images be displayed with special effects such as rotated pictures and image reflections, according to Mozilla's bug-tracking site. The problem was fixed within a day and distributed within five, but not before some whose sites were affected by the bug had voiced frustration.
"Customers are complaining because their Firefox automatically updated to 2.0.0.10 and now they can no longer order photo prints in our shop. I think this is a very serious problem and I hope it will be fixed immediately in a 2.0.0.11 update," a post by Klaus Reimer said.

Firefox 2.0.0.11, seems to be working smoothly. Although it is very annoying to have constant ugrade notifications.

I've turned off the "Automatically check for updates" on both Firefox and Thunderbird. I'm in here at SillyDog frequently enough that any breaking (not as in broken!, although that too) news is more than adequate. Our family browsing patterns don't utilize all the bells / whistles / safety nets / doo-dads that are available, so no stress.

A good point, because so-called basic user really doesn't know what the Canvas Regression issue is. And they don't even read MozillaZine or Developer News section of Mozilla.org.
What about the localized Web sites, e.g. here in Finland this page states that this update is a stability update and it fixes a problem included to previous versions. But the page only says 'a problem' ("ongelman").
BTW: When you click the Release Notes link included to this Developer News entry are you being redirected to localized Web page (due to FF' Language settings etc.)?
