After a few Beta releases of Parallels Desktop 3, Parallels, Inc. today announced the shipping version of Parallels Desktop 3.0 (Build 5582 ) with full Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard support.
Other new features of Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac (Build 5582) include improved virtualisation engine, port forwarding for shared networking, and ability to migrate Windows from Boot Camp partition with Parallels Transporter.

Parallels also announced a Premium Edition for Mac. The Parallels Desktop Premium Edition includes Parallels Desktop, Acronis Disk Director Suite (for modifying and managing partitions without losing data), Acronis True Image Home (an VM backing up solution) and Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 (which protects Windows from virus, spyware and malware). The cost is $99.99 (valued at $254 in total).
Parallels Desktop is a virtualisation software that allows other OSes, such as Windows and Linux, to run simultaneously under Mac OS X.
Currently, Parallels, Inc. is offering Christmas specials available until 27th December 2007. The specials are:
2 Copies of Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac for US$109.99 + free $25 iTunes Gift Card, that's a saving of $50 + $25 iTunes Gift Card; or
Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac (1 copy) for US$79.99, and receives a free $15 iTunes Gift Card.
