According to Merriam-Webster , the word 'w00t' is the word of the year for 2007.
Perhaps, w00t came from "we owned the other team", its definition can be:
| Quote: | w00t (interjection)
expressing joy (it could be after a triumph, or for no reason at all); similar in use to the word "yay"
w00t! I won the contest! |

Yeah. No idea what was wrong with the board, but they shipped it back with the same RAM and CPU (thankfully) and were also nice enough to leave the other stuff intact.
And for double w00t today, check out what I won a few hours ago straight from a Microsoft PR guy (note to Antony: I won it, free, I am not rich)!

Awesome. How did you win a free copy of Vista Ultimate?

There was a Microsoft PR guy speaking at school. He had a trivia round at the end: I answered some easy questions that for whatever reason everybody else didn't know ("Who created the Linux kernel?' -> Linus Torvalds, "What co-founder of Microsoft has since left the company?" -> Paul Allen, "What company bought out VMware?" -> EMC, and so forth).
I could have also won a pair of Celtics tickets, which I could have easily sold on eBay for the price of two Vista Ultimate retail boxes, but I didn't feel like dealing with eBay.
