Does anyone have an idea from where to get one of those apps that can work for recording internet radios or something like that?I figured it would help me a lot more if I asked for an opinion from someone who is already familiar with this subject.

Depending on your country of residence, streamripping is a legally gray area. In the U.S. it's covered by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and in EU member states it's covered under the Information Society Directive. In both cases it's illegal by all practical methods.

Hmm, yeah?As far as I knew as long as the files are for personal use, that should be legal.

I say it's legal,you can tape a TV show or radio station so why not an Internet broadcast after all?I think in the U.S. the DMCA does not say how the consumer chooses to personally experience the audio transmission, including recording it for later enjoyment.
I've been doing so I could enjoy some off my favorite music on my mp3 player, so I say there's nothing wrong with a little time-shifting, if I may say so.

I have been using mp3 recording software for a verfy long time. Now, on one of our PubRadio stations, an on-air host is telling folks to recommend the station to their friends and relatives. He says if they are not in the eastern USA time zone, where we are, that they shoulod tell their friends and relatives that they can "time-shift" with this software.

I use Total Recorder from http://www.highcriteria.com . It is absolutely fabulous, completely digital. And, you can set a clock so you do not need to be at the computer to get your programming.

Simpler to use is Freecorder Tool bar, which installs to both FF and IE, http://www.freecorder.com. BTW, if you want, this is really Applian, and they also have mp4 video recording software.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying.What's wrong with a little time shifting if you really want to listen to certain stations and don't have the time or means to do it whenever you want?I've been doing this with Radiotracker since a couple of years ago.And to be clear,I don't do this for the fun of sharing what I record on god knows what websites,I just do it cause I like the options it gives me in terms of choosing exactly the music I like.

This is good enough for me, I'm pretty sure that there are tons of people who do this recording online radios thing.I am gonna look at the ones you guys recommended.Though I was also wondering, how do these save what they record?As one large file?
