I want to note that Antony still has more RAM than me, and his CPU is still faster than mine, and his iMac's display is still bigger than mine. Thus, he is not qualified to call me 'rich'.

My current main PC system . . .
- 800MHz Intel Celeron
- 640MB PC100 SDRAM
- 80GB hard disk drive
- 32MB ATI Rage VGA
Currently dual booting with Windows XP and Windows Vista RC2.
(DJGM wishes he was as rich as Antony, and able to afford a top of the range Intel based iMac!)

LoL ... oh yes, I'm rich enough to afford something that was top of the range about 5 years ago!
(As opposed to being rich enough to aford a brand new Intel based Apple iMac!)

Please note that Pu7o bought an Intel-based iMac months before Antony did.
Don also bought a 64-bit computer months before Antony's iMac.

My iMac currently has no HDD, and not enough RAM to run Mac OS X. And as I said in this thread , my B+W G3 is
not working. The graphics card, and/or mainboard is faulty, and the machine cannot send any display signals.
If anyone is rich enough to help me get my G3 Macs working again, or buy me a newer G4/G5 or even a brand
spanking new Intel based Mac, I'll setup a PayPal "Donate" page a.s.a.p. Any donations gratefully received.

Antony's iMac is faster and has more memory, a bigger hard drive, and a larger screen. Also it was about $1299AU more expensive.
Can I ask what it's like to have a $3299AU PowerMac, a $2999AU iMac, and a Powerbook for somewhere over two grand? You know that the only way I'll ever be able to get a Mac anytime soon is when Leopard releases, and some people decide to trash their G3s.

I've just added a new member to the KJC Fleet. My new laptop is a beauty, but has one slight fault. Her specs are:
Toshiba Satellite P10
Pentium 4 2.60GHz HyperThreading (I'm not sure of the FSB, she's only 4 months old, so will be around 533/800MHz)
256MB DDR laptop RAM (i think 400Mhz, i need to run KJC's copy of Everest Ultimate on her yet)
nVIDIA GeForce FX go1500 32MB graphics
30GB Hard disk
CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo
15.4" widescreen TFT LCD Panel
TV Out
v90 data/fax modem (i'm probably never going to use this, i may replace it with a Mini PCI TV Card)

This laptop is superb. It was brought in to us by a customer. It has been knocked on the screen area, and there is 5 lines running along the screen, the LCD relay lines inside the TFT panel are damaged. Rikku has paid the customer £150 for it as a scrapper, and done her an insurance write off report. Toshiba want £350 for a new panel for it, so it would be uneconomical for us to repair, and would cost the customer £450 with our final charges, which is more than she paid for the laptop in the first place.
Rikku has "donated" it to me, really sweet of her. All i need to do now, is get a new screen for it. It would be economical for me to do it, if i pay £350 for a new screen, this laptop will last me around another 6 years, so it will pay for itself. I'm dual-booting it with SuSe Linux 10.1, and Wondows XP Pro SP2.
The fault is quite a tiny one, but expensive to fix nonetheless. I can put up with the lines till i get a new panel, or i just use it on an external monitor, which i am now, i have it hooked up to Greg's monitor!
I've upgraded our server to 512MB RAM, and will be upgrading it to Windows Server 2003 Small Business Server R2 in the near future, our company is expanding here in the UK, and Enterprise Edition is not powerful enough!
If anyone has a Tosh Satellite P10 scrap, with a good screen on it, let me know, i'll give ya good money for it, this is the fastest laptop i've had to date!
