I wonder how many of you has seen popups, or popafters( I call them as they show up after the browser is closed). I had seen then at least four times with the Netscape Browser Prototype, once in Firefox1.0, and once in Netscape7.2, although I am not sure what trigger the latter, and it may have been caused by FF, since both were open.
The website is atwola.com, and I have been blocking cookies from atwola.com, ar.atwola.com and casale.com. It is considered spyware by some, and PestPastol Pro can block, but Netscape and Firefox should be able to do it. But, it is AOL's. is it not?
This is very sporadic and unpredictable, but it is happening too many times.

Fulvo, I have seen very few popups in my time using Netscape 7, Mozilla Suite, and Firefox. For me, Gecko based browsers have had very effective popup blockers. And I have never seen a popup after closing the browser. Spyware could be a very real possibilty here.

By default, we don't kill popups that are launched by onclick. This is probably where you're being caught out.

You may be able to use the dom.popup_allowed_events pref to alter this, if it exists.

I had posted somewhere, and missed the replies.
I found the cause of the popup, and a cure for it. The answer is in the Options|Site Controls. Some sites are pregiven, like the sites allowed in Netscape. But this is quite insidious, because there are two tab, and the one for Content is the last one which one would look into. Some sites have allowed popups, as part of the new "benefits". And, I was able to stop the popups, but now I cannot get into the Community Forum any more.
In any event, I don't like the sneakiness of the developers.
I know that it was a persistent problem with the Netscape Browser Prototype, and in rare cases the other gecko browsers, and, always with the same site.
