Extentions are not work of the program, but of outsiders ( and this is a bone of contention about security with extention). And, I pretty much would expect that any extention would be working only on the gecko side.

Any word from the Netscape camp, as to whether Netscape 8 will be available for MacOS and Linux?
I presume these would not include the IE rendering engine.

I will try to find out at the browser's newsgroups. At this point everything is moving at snail pace., but there seem to be a few faithful there.
