Thanks.DiGravioandSons wrote:Netscape has pulled 22.214.171.124 because of issues. They went back to 8.0.2 as offical download.
Let's wait for a stable release.MJR wrote:This is not good. Makes one think v126.96.36.199 was a slapdash release.
But then, who knows? I could be wrong.
v8.0.2 was a real improvement over previous betas except that it crashes almost always from 11pm onwards. Very strange. At other times, it's stable.
SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Netscape, where some have
unknown impacts and others can be exploited by malicious people to
compromise a user's system.
For more information, see vulnerabilities #7 and #9:
Update to version 188.8.131.52.
Where did you see that?Ramona wrote: I imagine that Secunia had no clue that Netscape would ask users to revert back to 8.0.2 from 184.108.40.206.
If you and others had been following the discussions and posts by several users complaining about not being able to download using 220.127.116.11 then you would understand WHY 18.104.22.168 was pulled, we will NOT continue to provide this version. And I DID announce it but not in the announcements section. I also provided a link to the archives so users not happy with 22.214.171.124 can download a previous version until this is patched and re-spun. The download problem is universal enough to warrant a re-spin, but not experienced by "some" users. I can't d'load using 126.96.36.199 either.

I changed the original topic of this thread "Netscape8.0.3 PULLED 8.0.2 Offical Download" to "Netscape 184.108.40.206 retracted, revert back to 8.0.2".Alice wrote:Where did you see that?Ramona wrote: I imagine that Secunia had no clue that Netscape would ask users to revert back to 8.0.2 from 220.127.116.11.

Netscape did revert back the offering to 8.0.2.
Perhaps, the word "revert" was from SillyDog701?
Me? I did not say Netscape asked users to revert back to 8.0.2.Alice wrote:Yes, you're the culprit, Antony
Oh, I have no issues with Mr Garcia, except I don't understand why such demanding (of everybody to read his every single post) was used in Netscape's supporting forum, and making people feel that Netscape 22.214.171.124 was pulled because it did not work for him.Alice wrote:As to your issues with Jay Garcia............. no comment.
