I was thinking that Seamonkey would let me know of an update, but it is not like Firefox. But, unlike Firefox I downloaded a 1.2 MB incremental update, and it worked. It never works with Firefox, which goes through the motions of installing the partial update, and then requires a complete file.

Check Preferences/Advanced/Software Installation. That is where the options are to update SeaMonkey. There is an option to automatically install any updates.

I am aware of it. My point, made also in my separate post about Firefox and Thunderbird was that I did not ge any notice of available updates, as I used to be able. I do not wish to get automatic updates.

So I am once again reinstalling 2.0.11.

Why??

Because every time I install a later version (just installed and
quickly uninstalled 2.7.2), all my bookmarks are GONE.

Why is that??

Why does 2.0.11 give me my bookmarks, while most anything
more recent does not????
